SUMMER OF 2025 INTERNS

Corbin Dudensing

Smith & Richardson had the pleasure of having Corbin Dudensing as its summer intern in 2025. Corbin, a student at Marquette University, received experience inspecting parts in the quality department, machining parts in production, and making SolidWorks drawings and parts in engineering. In addition, he mapped out the location of new equipment in shipping, laser engraved parts and completed drawing building layouts.

Corbin worked on three projects, which were: the magnetic fixture for the Zeiss and the updated main base plate, the v-block fixture for the Zeiss, and the chuck fixture for the Keyence. In addition, he worked with the design, layout, and laser production of this year’s MFG Day keychains that will be given away during tours.

“One part of my internship that I loved was working on projects for the business and watching them come to life. It was cool to start with just an idea and to watch as it became reality, from designing concepts, to a final design in SolidWorks, to a working product. Then watching as my design was used to help the business. Getting to see all different aspects of the business was awesome and allowed me to grow both technically and professionally,” stated Corbin.
